Of course, since we have the most beautiful daughter in the world, all our family and numerous close friends have been dying to hear more about her and see pictures and all that. So, since even proud parents like us sometimes tire of explaining to our sisters how the baby looks so much different today than she did yesterday we decided to let the pictures speak for themselves (and perhaps the occasional word as well).

On to the ordination.

This was when the bishop blessed them after they lay on the ground while some seminarians sang the name of (I'm pretty sure) every single saint that was ever created - and probably a few extra.

That's my Uncle Matty on the left - I can tell by his shoes.

And here is me meditating (I'm pretty sure Mom was holding me so tightly in case I levitated) while they were singing every single saint's name.

I know, I know - I'm not in this picture but I thought it was fine to post one picture without me. This is my uncle Matty giving his very first blessing to Bishop Bruschewitz. How cool is that.

Here is the whole family.

And here is me - getting my first blessing. Mom says that with a priest in the family we'll all get to just coast into heaven now - so I'm pretty psyched about that.

And last but not least - this was Uncle Matty's second Mass the day after Mother's Day which he said at a Carmelite convent where the nuns had been praying for him throughout his vocation. The great philosopher Jack Handy once said that it takes a big man to cry. Well, let me tell you - it takes a great man to give a sermon to a convent full of very saintly nuns - especially on the topic of Motherhood. But, judging by how much Mom cried throughout the sermon, I think Uncle Matty did an OK job.
